BREAKING NEWS: New Wordpress 2.7

Sometimes, it’s a good thing being a bit of a geek.

As I’ve said over and over again, I have a personal blog, in addition to this one. That blog serves as a vehicle for personal expression, while also being a testbed for Wordpress as a blog tool. Thanks to “The Brown Study” I have been able to test the new release of Wordpress, ver 2.7, and lemme tell ya, I’m impressed. It actually makes a lot of the backend plugins I had originally installed here obsolete.

We will be updating our Moondance blogs within the next few days. If you already have a blog with us, pleas stay tuned! have just updated to the new version, and hope you will like it!

For what it’s worth, upgrading to such a sweepingly large upgrade (note that this is not a full version number, such as “3.0″, but it’s till very big) takes about 30 minutes. If you already have a Moondance blog, YOU will need to reactivate the plugins you are using, and about half of the upgrade time is spent doing just that. I wil do my best to warn you in advance whenever a large upgrade is coming.

However, this upgrade, in my mind, was worth the effort. Here is to more such successful improvements in the platform we are using to communicate with each other, and with the world.
