It’s plugins time once again!  This time, we’ll talk about getting your site found on the major search engines.

If you’ve been following along so far you should have developed a pretty decent set of blogging skills.  Moreover, by now I bet you’ve got a few articles published, because blogging is an addiction: once you start, it’s hard to resist. But who’s reading your innermost thoughts, your most important opinion, your treatise on life? How will they ever find your insightful insights? The secret lies in great content, word of mouth (or rather, word of web, which we discussed a bit in the post on the “Add-to-Any“plugin), and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

The “All-In-One SEO Pack” plugin makes it pretty easy.

BREAKING NEWS: New Wordpress 2.7

Sometimes, it’s a good thing being a bit of a geek.

As I’ve said over and over again, I have a personal blog, in addition to this one. That blog serves as a vehicle for personal expression, while also being a testbed for Wordpress as a blog tool. Thanks to “The Brown Study” I have been able to test the new release of Wordpress, ver 2.7, and lemme tell ya, I’m impressed. It actually makes a lot of the backend plugins I had originally installed here obsolete.

New Theme: Zinmag Redux

So, just installed this GORGEOUS theme on the main Moondance Blog, and I’ve been trying to play around with it. At the time I began this postⁱ, the tabber div wasn’t working, nor was the glide function working. As I was writing, I would think of something else to try, in order to fix my problems, so I would stop writing the post, go try it, and report back here. This is the unexpected account of that journey. For the record, I was completely NOT involved in developing Zinmag; I just happen to have enough experience testing things to have done this and know how to test for troublesome code.

Also, I can’t sleep. Anyway, on with it!
